Balance

For a game to be fun it must be challenging too!  A game is challenging when it is easy to play but difficult to win.

Bellwork:
On your bellwork paper for the week answer these questions:
1. What makes a game challenging?
2. What happens when a game is not balanced?
3. List three examples of an unbalanced game (use the 5 elements we discussed yesterday)
For example, a game is not balanced when there are not enough components like blocks and enemies , it makes the game too easy.

Continue on Gamestar Mechanic and read the intro to episode fun (even if you completed the episode)
Everyone should be making their first game today.  If you have already made your first game continue in the workshop making games.
*Remember to consider all five elements, space, components, mechanics, goals and rules, when making your game.  They must be balanced, fun and easy to play but challenging to fun!
