Introduction to Scratch Unit 1 Lesson 1

Bellwork:

Watch lesson 1 (tutorials 1 and 2)Move, Turn and point in Unit 1

Learn Scratch

Open Scratch
1. Go to Start
2. Search
3. for files and folders
4. all files and folders
5. in search box type in Scratch
6. When files load click double click on the cat icon (do not drag this to the desktop please!)

Practice using the blocks you were introduced to in Lesson 1
move block
turn block
forever block
point toward block

Use sprites in the scratch files.

We will be working toward creating a game using these blocks.

1. Click on file-----open----examples-----games-----pong
2.  Play game and look at the code for each sprite.  You can look at the code by clicking on each one in the bottom window and the code will appear in the left column


Today we are going to make our first game in Scratch:
1. Click on file----new
