Character Development and Storyboards

Today we will be in another classroom without computers.

All work will be non digital.

This is a great time to do some quality pre-production work!

  1. On an index card-create a character
  2. On the back of the card list the qualities of your character(powers, personality, special features)
  3. In groups of four share your characters
  4. Start brainstorming on how all of your characters can fit into a video game together.
  5. Ask the 5W's and How
  • Who are these character's to each other?(relationship)
  • Where are they?
  • Why are they together?
  • What is their mission or journey?
  • When will they meet?
  • How will they interact?
  1. Each person will think of their own story based on their gathered information
  2. Each person will write their own beginning, middle and end to their story
  3. You will use the storyboard handout template to develop your story
  4. Remember:
  • Neatness counts
  • Clarity of idea counts in your script and drawings
When finished you will share your story with the group.
These stories will be animated in Scratch.
