To conclude our Animation unit this week you will view a series of videos on learnscratch.org
starting with lesson 1: Joke and Lesson 3: Cheetah Animation
If you have not finished your greeting card, continue working on it. You will have today and tomorrow to finish it. On Wed/Thurs (block days) you will present your greeting card to the class. Wednesday/Thursday is the due date. You will not be given additional time to work on it after Tuesday. You may not submit it after your block day.
You must also sign-up on Scratch and share your projects. Once you share your projects you will submit your link in a word document in your scratch folder along with your finished project.
If you are finished with this project you will be working on extension projects today and tomorrow.
Extension projects:
1. Lesson 8 handout Manikin Dance follow the directions to create your manikin and animate it. Add a background, add music have fun with it!
2. Create a dialogue scene scene between two or more sprites

Fred: This is bad.
Shaggy: No doubt.
Fred: Shaggy?
Shaggy: Yeah?
Fred: Who's driving?
Shaggy: Uhh...
[the gang looks back to see who is driving with no one there but Scooby in the passenger seat]

3. Download the Cheetah Animation from video lesson 3 and add a scrolling background

Hint: you must make your backgrounds in paint editor. Use the stamp and move tools.
This course is designed to give students an overview of beginning concepts of computer programming in “Basic” computer language. The process of creating a video game(pre-production, production and post production) will be employed during this course. Gaming II is a continuation of Gaming I. Students will further develop computer programing skills to create their own video games.
