To begin the process of becoming a game designer you have to first learn to think like a game designer!
The first step in thinking like a game designer is to think like a player!
Most of you already know how to do that.
However, it is also important, when you are designing games, to know how other players think too. This would be your "target market." Target Market-Segment of the population determined to be the most likely potential customers.
Bellwork:
Write six questions that you will ask the player about him/herself. You want to get to know how your audience thinks and feels? What do they like to do what kind of games do they like?
Ask these questions to the person next to you. Based on these answers give a short description explaining what type of game you might create for this person.
