Gamestar Mechanic
Bellwork:
Write two examples of constructive feedback on a game.
This is part of the production process of design. We will work on this for the remainer of the week.
After creating a game, game designers ask players to test the game.
Playtesters play an important role in the game design process, and giving good feedback is the key to helping others design amazing games.
Today we will begin some post production work for those who are ready.
You will work with a partner(the person sitting next to you)
You will each receive a Player Feedback Worksheet.
Read over the questions together. Do not discuss your game with the playtester. Direct them to your challenge game and have them play it. Player must keep in mind the questions on the feedback sheet while playing the game. The designer will simply watch the player to see how they react to the game.
After the playtester finishes the game He/she will fill out the feedback form and discuss it with the design.
The designer will take the feedback and iterate (rework) their game to improve the playing experience (based on the testers feedback).
For those students who have not finished the episodes you will try to finish up today and proceed to creating your challenge game. The score you have for the episodes today will be your grade for this portion of the assignment. (you may still finish the episodes;however, this will be your grade.)

This course is designed to give students an overview of beginning concepts of computer programming in “Basic” computer language. The process of creating a video game(pre-production, production and post production) will be employed during this course. Gaming II is a continuation of Gaming I. Students will further develop computer programing skills to create their own video games.
